           Sundaikai vatha kuzhambhu  




Pearl onions -15
Tomato - 1 finely chopped

Sundaikai / manathakali vathal - 2 tbsp
Tamarind juice - 1/2 cup
Garlic cloves - 6 or 7
Turmeric powder
Chilli powder
Dhaniya powder
Vellam
Curry leaves
Gingly oil

Seasoning
Oil
Kadughu
Dry chilli
Vendhayam
Urad dhal
Hing 





Roast and ground :
Dhaniya - 1 tbsp
Dry chilli - 3
Urad dhal - 1 tsp
Pearl onions - 6
Scrapped coconut - 3 tbsp
Gingly oil - 1 tsp

METHOD

1.roast and gring the ingredients as a paste which are given under roast and ground

2. Sundaikai / manathakali vathal roast with 1/2 tsp oil and keep separate

3 . in a pan add oil and add the ingredients under seasoning one by one

4. Add onion and garlic fry until onion and garlic changes clr

5. Add tomato and after the tomato cooked fully add the grounded paste and fry the raw smell goes off.

6.add turmeric powder chilli powder dhaniya powder fry for a minute. Add tamarind juice extract and needed salt.

7. Add some water and allow it to boil in medium flame. When the oil oozes out add vellam and finally add that fried vathal and allow it to boil for a minute.

8 . serve hot with rice.
