Kartula Sabji

This is another seasonal vegetable that grows in the wild. It has a bitter taste like karela but not so much. It's skin has thorny rough feel that needs to be peeled before making the vegetable. People who have eaten it swear by its taste.
I don't know what they call it in English or any other language ... Sorry .. Anybody who knows are most welcome to share ...
This vegetable is made in a few ways. Today I have made it using besan or chana daal atta. Some people put soaked chana daal, or onion, or potato and make it ... Anyway you make it, it is delicious ... Good thing to carry if you are traveling. It stays well unrefrigerated for 4-5 days...
