When it's Chinese, my appetite just doubles
AS FAR AS THE LOVE FOR CHINESE FOOD CONTINUES FLOWER DRUM CONQUER SWIMMING IN THE HIGH TIDE.
Finally, Chinese it is. I agreed and kick started the ride IN OLA CABS , with accurate assistance of Google maps i reached FLOWER DRUM, ADYAR...... without much difficulty for my DINNER time . The restaurant is next to....ICICI BANK
Anywhere I come across the word "DIMSUM ", in the menu, I place an order without much second thoughts. And I never anticipated such a huge portion of DIMSUM with big DIMSUM this was more like a main course. Steaming hot and perfectly cooked DIMSUM stuffed with vegetables and grated paneer, it was delicious and I was happy that the proportion of vegetables were divided equally (instead of just cabbage and cabbage).
The chilli and mustard sauce were so good, always a perfecto for the DIMSUM.
I wanted to give up eating after momos (yes, that was a pretty huge portion) but who could resist Chinese. PANEER is a favourite and Chinese use these beauty so well in their dishes. , the crispy fried potatoes, baby corn, sweet corn , cottage cheese , palak and corn , ahaaaaa.... tossed in the sweet yet spicy sauce is perfect, the ginger and chilli balanced the sweetness.YUMMY IT WAS..
spinach was at its best and pair it with the COTTAGE CHEESE you can be assured that your meal is phenomenally good. The flavour intensity of the sauce along with the juicy SAUCE is truly one of their best (and no wonder it's their diners favourite pick). I have to sip in some green tea to get the food down our tummies.
Pure pure Chinese Thai options. Rare to find such restaurants that doesn't even use egg or fish/meat flavour sauce. Delicious dishes made 100% pure vegetarian. Not many know that an exclusive vegetarian Chinese Cuisine restaurant exists in Chennai. They have a lengthy list of vegetarian dishes to explore unlike many other Chinese restaurants which have a limited vegetarian menu. I would say a not be be missed restaurant for those vegetarians who love Chinese cuisine. Flower Drum Adyar chennai
My new found Chinese food dynasty in the city. Packed with Chinese flavours and serves some delicious food. A place totally worth the money we spend.
The flavour intensity, blend of ingredients and presentation accounts for a thumps up for quality. Quantity is huge and totally worth every penny.
Extremely reasonable considering the taste, quality, variety and quantity.
I don’t have a say here as we were offered with unlimited food portions with good service.
But the food quantity is par with the pricing that is affordable. They seem to have been pleasing the other customers who were dining too.

Chinese bells were no longer simple bells for practical uses. They became a symbol of an idea, a culture and a spirit. In class society, the symbol of idea and culture could naturally be utilized by the dominators, resulting in a sharp contrast between the brilliance of bells and the sorrow of society. Such a course of history has provided for us a profound lesson of the "Admonish - the - World Bell." It always admonishes people to pay attention to historical lessons and experiences. On the one hand, they should avoid following the track of the overturned cart. On the other hand, they should realize that when civilization has advanced to the level of today and society has developed to such a stage, the cream of the bell culture may become a criterion governing interpersonal relations and man - society relations.
To wrap up an evening of great food and company, Chef presented us with the most sinful STRAWBERRY BANANA MILK SHAKE,
AND CHOCLATE BANANA MILK SHAKE
The intensity of flavours just shines in your plate.
