peda

1. Khoya - 2 cups
2. Sugar - 1/2 cup
3. Milk - 2 or 3 tspn
4. Saffron strands - a pinch
5. Sliced almonds - to granish
6. Ghee - to grease
7. Cardamom powder
Procedure:
1. Soak saffron in warm milk till it dissolves.
2. Take khoya and sugar in a pan. Mix well in medium flame till it becomes gooey.
3. Add soaked saffron +milk, cardamom powder to the pan. Keep mixing for around 10 mins or till it binds together.
4. Grease a plate/ pan and transfer the mixture to it. Level it. When it is still warm make peda and garnish with sliced almonds and allow it to cool completely. Store in a refregirator.
Note: Can also use a greased parchment paper/ butter paper instead of a greased pan.
