ammani kolukattai

Rice flour - 1 cup
Water, salt.
For soak and grind:
Toor dhal - 1/2 cup
Urad dhal -1/4 cup
Red chilli - 3 to 4.
Soak all these for half an hr and grind with some coconut as coarsly not smoothly.
Method:
Boil water by adding salt and little bit oil.. in a bowl add rice flour and slowly add the water to the flour. Make a smooth dough. When it becomes warm, grease yr hands with oil and make a small size balls. After makin shape then steam this in idli plates. After that heat a pan add oil, add mustard seeds, curry leaves, then add grinded dhal mixture , cook till it becomes seperate( like as we do for paruppu usili). Now add rice flour balls to the dhal mixture and mix well. Now its get ready...!!!
A small tip: as if we have no time to soak dhal means just add coconut and idli milaga podi while seasoning( instead of dhal mixture). It ll also gives more or less equal taste as we r doin like usili..
