Dry fry 1/2 cup of samba/ broken wheat & 1 tbsp of moong dal separately till it's roasted nicely. Cook them together in cooker till soft. Boil a cup of vellam in water till it dissolves completely( if there are any impurities, strain and use). To it, add the cooked wheat & dal and boil for sometime. Add elaichi powder. Lastly add milk & switch off gas. Garnish with ghee-fried cashews.
