In a pan dry roast urad dal, red chillies, raw rice, curry leaves, pepper. Roast sesame seeds in the last. Let it cool and powder in a mixer.
In a pan, add gingelly oil. When it's hit add mustard seeds and let it crackle. Add the chopped veggies and saute for a minute. Add tamarind extract, salt, turmeric powder, hing. Let it boil and the raw flavour of tamarind vanishes.
Add the powder and allow it to boil. It will thicken in few seconds. Switch off the flame. Top it with gingelly oil and curry leaves.
