Salem Thattu Vadai Masala Set
This is a yummy snack from Salem - and people go all out for eating this. Now chennai is also having the shop and die hard fans visit that.
It is a simple dish, prepared in less than 15 min. Since it uses all vegetables it is healthy too. Kids love this as local murukku sandwhich.
All you need
- Thattu vadai small/ medium size (you can buy from any sweet shop)
- One cup grated Carrot, Beetroot, finely chopped onion and coriander
- Pudina Chutney (Grind finely Pudina leaves 1 cup, 1 Green Chilli and Salt)
- Optional - Redchilli + Garlic Chutney (Just grind red chilli, garlic pods and salt). You can also use the Red Chilli Theecha available in super markets
1. Add pinch of red chilli power, salt and 1 tsp of lemon juice on the finely chopped / shredded vegetables. Mix well
2. Organize plate and put the thattu vadais around
3. Apply Redchillli Garlic paste
4. Apply Pudina Chutney on that
5. Put a spoon full of vegetable grates evenly on the thattu vadai (after step 2 & 3)
6. Cover each thattu vadai masala with another thattu vadai. It looks like Thattu vadai sandwhich.
- Optionally you can add grated paneer, cheese, mangoes or coconut over the veg
- You can garnish with Chopped Coriander & Sev
