Crispy and tasty thattai

Rice flour 1 cup
Udid dal powder 1 tsp
Hing powder 1\4 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil as required
Chana dal 1 tsp
Sesame seed1\2 tsp
Jeera 1\2 seed
Black pepper powder 1\4 tsp(crushed)
Butter 1&1\2 tab sp
Method
Soak chana dal in water for 1\2 hour.
Sieve the rice flour, add butter, jeera, sesame seed,salt, hing powder,black pepper powder and soaked chana dal(drain from water).
Mix well and make crumble.
Add water and bind together and knead into dough like chapati.
Take a clean white cloth, drown in water and squeeze out all water and spread.
Take lemon size portion and make into small ball and flatten on a wet cloth with the help of finger like flat vada and make a hole in the middle with finger.(apply oil to your finger every time ).
Make all the thattaies.
Heat oil in a kadai, put 4 or 5 pieces in oil in one bach.
(Dont make a crowd.)
Deep fry both side until turns golden brown.
Remove and place on paper towel to remove excess oil.
Do all batches in same way.
After cooling store in an airtight container.
Serve with hot tea or coffee.
