INSTANT SAMBHAR

Tomato: 2big
Onion: 2medium
Roasted Gram: 1.5tbsp
Red Chilli: 4 or 6
Oil to saute
SPICE POWDERS
Sambhar Powder: 1/2tsp
Coriander Powder: 1/2tsp
Turmeric Powder: 1/4tsp
Salt as needed
TO TEMPER
Mustard Seeds: 1/2tsp
Urad Dal: 1/2tsp
Asafoetida(hing/perungayam): Pinch
Curry Leaves
Oil to temper
METHOD
Cube the Tomatoes and Onions.
Heat oil in kadai and saute Onions, Tomatoes, Roasted Gram and Red Chilli until tomatoes gets mushy.
Cool them and grind it to smooth paste.
In the same kadai, temper the mentioned items.
Add the grounded paste with required water.
Sprinkle all the spice powders, boil it on medium flame and add water if needed.
Check for spice once boiled.
Add if required and boil for few more minutes.
Garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves
