Bombay Kaaja

Adi amavasya pooja(gandana pooje) over. Apart from the usual pandigai samayal(kootu, poriyal, semiya payasam, rasam, etc), did kunukku & Bombay kaaja for sweet dish.
Bombay Kaaja Recipe : Prepare a maida dough with oil, ghee & little water, rest for 1/2 hr. Prepare sugar syrup, add elaichi, switch off gas & add a few drops of rose water. 
Roll the dough into big thin chappati, apply ghee all over. Sprinkle little rice flour on it and roll. Cut into small rounds(like pinwheel samosa). Again roll it out into squares/rectangles. Deep fry till golden brown. Drop into sugar syrup & take out after 10mins. Garnish with grated pista.
