Puliyodhara


Puliyodharai is one dish where we don't add any vegetable. What happens when we add a vegetable and some powders....?????
I had 5 brinjals and some pulikachal and some powders.
Seasoned mustard in oil,added chopped brinjal and cook. When its half done, I added tamarind water ( sundakai alavu) , 2 tbsp pulikachal which included Seasoned tamarind paste with mel podi, 1-2 sp pitlai podi or arachuvitta sambar podi, garam masala 1/4 sp, salt,hing,ghee as per taste..
Cook for 2-3 min.
Add cooked Rice to it.... Garnish with coriander leaves.
And now can you guess what is ready??
The result of the experiment is vangibath.
It tasted good and almost similar to vangibath you prepare adding powder ( exclusively prepared for it.)
Do try once this way with pulikachal/puliyodhare instant powder and chilli powder dhania powder / pitla powder, garam masala optional and give ur feedback.
