Bindi in tomato gravy

Bindi - 250gms
Tomato - 2 medium size
Onion - 1 medium size
Ginger - small piece
Garlic - 2 or 3 pods
Pepper powder
Turmeric powder
Salt to taste
Dry kasuri methi
Saunf, mustard
Oil to fry
Method:
Wash & dry Bindi. Cut into lengthy pieces.
Grind onion into paste.
Grind tomato, ginger,garlic,salt into paste.
Heat oil in a kadai. Add mustard, saunf.
Add Bindi and let it cook with some salt, turmeric powder.
Once Bindi is half cooked, add onion paste. Once it is cooked, add tomato paste. Let it cook with some water.
Finally add pepper powder. Stir well.
Before removing from stove, add crushed kasuri methi. Bindi gravy is ready.
You can replace pepper with chilli powder or sambar powder according to ur taste.
